10U Boys Head Coach
Football has been a part of our founder Coach Omar Smith his entire life. He is a certified Flag Football coach through USA Football. Smith played high school football, and oversees flag football while stationed in Germany. He has coached competitive adult flag football in the Las Vegas Grid Iron for 5 years while guiding his team, The Force, to a championship. Coach Smith decided to start coaching competitive youth flag football during the Spring of 2016 to help impact the lives of children. He wants to use the same work ethic, commitment, dedication, and team first attitude that he learned playing football, and while in the army. Coach O wants to instill this within all of his players. He has led his 10U team to an unprecedented 6 NYS championships in 8 seasons, 5 of which being perfect seasons. In total Coach Smith has won 8 NYS League championships addition, he also won the NSE Friday Night Lights, HFFL league, and 200% Sports league making him the only coach to win championships in 4 leagues. Coach O has 22 career tournament victories as well. He also lead his 10U and 12U teams to winning a combined 5 NFL Flag Regional Championships (2017 10U, 2018 10U & 12U, 2019 12U and 2023 10U). His greatest achievement was winning the 2019 NFL Flag 10U National Championship. He also won the 2022 9U H.C LA Regional, 2019 Hard Count Athletics 10U National Championship, National Flag Summer 11U National Championship, and 12U 2021 NFL Flag Bowl National Championship. He is also a four time NYS Coach of the Year. Coach O believes that a leader should lead by example, and he shows this by giving 100% effort to his players and parents. His coaching goals are that his players continue to improve every season, making a positive impact on a kids life, making sure the kids have fun, and winning championships.
Vice President Coach Thomson
14U and 17U Girls/Club Head Coach
Coach Todd Thomson is one of the most decorated Flag Coaches in Las Vegas Flag Football history. Thomson started the Royalty which was the premier Flag travel program in Las Vegas from 2016-2018 that won several championships. Known as one of the best coaches to ever come out of HFFL Coach Thomson has won 10 HFFL League championships across several age divisions. Coach Thomson won the 12U 2016 Hard Count Best Of The West Tournament in San Diego, 12U 2018 Duel In the Desert, 2018 NFL Flag San Diego Regional, and 14U 2019 West Coast Nationals. Thomson took two 14U teams to NFL Flag Nationals in 2018 and 2019 with his 2018 Royalty team making it to the semi finals. Thomson joined the Apex Predators in the fall of 2019 and won the 14U NYS championship making him only the second Coach to win an NYS and HFFL Championship. Now focused on the girls division Coach Thomson led his 14U Girls teams to two 2020 Southwest Showdown tournament Championships, 2021 2nd place finish at Flag Bowl, 2021 Beast Of The East Champs , 4 2021 Hard Count Regional Championships, 2021 Hard Count National Championship, 2021 Shook 7 vs 7 High School Girls National Championship, and leading his 2022 14U and 17U teams to the NFL Flag National Championship game. His 14U Girls team was selected to be in an NFL commercial to open the 2021 NFL season. Todd is also the Head Coach at Desert Oasis High School Girls Flag team which won the 2023 4A State Championship. Coach Thomson was also selected to Coach the USA National team for girls flag football.

9U Boys Head Coach
Coach Andre Sanders is a native of Baton Rouge Louisiana. He played football in Baker Louisiana from 2004-2007, while also being a multi sport athlete earning various honors. Coach Sanders played college football for the Apprentice School in Newport News, VA.After College he played Adult Flag Football in the metro Virginia area winning several league championships and competing for multiple VA state titles. His youth coaching career started here at Apex coaching his son in the 8U Division.Coach Sanders has won multiple league and tournament championships as well as recently winning the 2023 Hard Count 9U National Championship. He has passion for coaching and teaching kids the game and building young men!

14U Girls Head Coach
Coach Michael played Wide Receiver, Cornerback, and Free Safety at Oak Grove and North Salinas High School. He continued to play Tight End & Free Safety for various semi-pro teams in the San Francisco Bay Area. He then proceeded to begin playing Adult Flag football and lead his team to Indoor Flag Football Championship.
Coach Michael begin coaching his son’s Pre-K/6u flag football team in the Bay Area. He won a championship in Spring 2016 and has coached his team in 3 other Super Bowls. He moved to the Henderson/Las Vegas area in Spring 2018 and became the Coach of the 8u Apex Predators beginning Fall 2018. He proceeded to lead his team to the Super Bowl Championship and coached the Pro Bowl. Coach Mike led his Spring 2019 8U team to the Championship and a perfect record while earning 8U Spring 2019 Coach Of The Year. Coach Mike won the 2019 8U West Coast Regionals which was the programs first 8U tournament win. Coach Mike and his 8U Apex Predators won the Fall 2019 NYS Championship giving him a total of three NYS 8U Championships tying the All Time Record. His first tournament major win was going undefeated and winning the 2020 Hard Count LA Regional qualifier. Coach Anderson in 2021 started his team in 7's and won the first NYS 10U Winter League Championship. Michael also won the programs first 7's tournament by winning the Redzone March Madness 2.0 2021 becoming the first Coach in club history to win a flag and 7's tournament. Coach Michael greatest Achievements was recently winning the 2021 9U NFL Flag Bowl National Championship and 2021 Red Zone Elite 7's National Championship. He is committed to continuing the tradition of excellence that the Apex Predators exhibit each and everyday. He is excited to continue racking up wins on the field with the kids as well as ensuring his kids are racking up wins in the classroom and in LIFE. While football is competitive & fun we want to ensure we continue to groom our young people to be productive citizens in our community.
Coach Padilla has been Coaching flag football since 2016. In 2019 he was named NYS Coach of the year.
That same year he started an all girls team and is currently the Head Coach for the 10 & 12U Lady Predator teams. His 12U girls won the NYS 2021 Winter Super Bowl. His 10U girls team finished second place in the NYS 2021 Spring season in an all boys division. Coach Padilla is also the Freshman Girls Flag Coach for the Liberty Patriots High School team. Coach Padilla amazing wife Monica is the team mom for both teams and they have three amazing daughters Gabriella, Ariana, and Isabella.
Coach Henderson
8U Boys Head Coach
Coach Henderson played Football at Basic High School from 2000 - 2004. He also ran track and was a Nevada State Champion in 400m and runner up in 200m in 2004. Coach Henderson played football for eastern arizona transferred to Cerritos college in 2004-2006. He played semi pro football for the Henderson Wolverines and won 2 championships and in 2017 was inducted in the minor league hall of fame as a free safety.
Coach Henderson is currently playing flag football and is a 4 time Henderson league man champs.
